Q. What’s the difference between a sports bra and a regular bra anyway?

Along with their support features, sport bras are made with new and versatile materials as oppose to a regular bras’ traditional cottons and silks. By wearing your everyday bra to work out - you don’t have the wicking capability to keep moisture at bay – which means bacterial build ups causing you to break out more and smell a little ripe after a workout. Not to mention being a sweaty mess (sports bras help with that too!)

Q. Can’t I just continue using 2 bras and hope for the best?

A. No – definitely not. Trust us when we tell you that you think you don’t need a true sports bra, until you try one – only then finally understanding the difference. Oh, and there are medical reasons too – keep reading here to find out more.

Q. I’m an A cup – I don’t really need to wear a bra, do I?

A. While no two breasts are the same - they all need proper support. The figure eight movement the breast makes during exercise stretches out the delicate Cooper’s ligaments which give your breast its shape and perkiness. Once stretched, the ligaments do not repair themselves – no big deal at 20, very big deal at 50. Saggy boobs don’t make anyone happy.

Q. I’m a size H – sports bras aren’t made in my size, are they?

A. Absolutely! Gone are the days of the little shelf bras inside workout tops as your only option. Sports bras now come in cup sizes A to J.

Q. Is my sports bra size the same as my everyday bra size?

In general, yes. We find most women don’t accurately know their current bra size though, so unless you have very recently been measured, follow our easy steps to do it yourself here.

Q. Which hook should I use on my bra?

Start with the most outward set of eye hooks and work your way in as you feel your band strap loosen over time.

Q. What does high impact, medium impact and low impact mean?

Figuring out what level impact you need is where bra shopping gets a little more complicated. Good thing we break it all down for you! Check out our IMPACT guide here.

Q. How do I know when I need a new sports bra?

If you’re asking this question, you’re probably overdue. Sports bras are meant to be very supportive – if yours has become super comfortable (you like to wear it even when you’re not working out) it’s a tale tell sign you need a new one. Depending on frequency of wear and care, you can expect your bra to last approximately a year.

Q. How do I care for my sports bra?
